Al Goanna the 1st

It is said that this Goanna was responsible for all those that followed. A promiscuous lizard he fathered over 488 offspring with just as many women.

The term “Lounge Lizard” was actually coined after this very reptile and is now generally recognised as meaning.

“A man interested in snaring a wealthy woman. The phrase was named after Al Goanna the First, a muscian who performed in supper clubs and kept an eye out for susceptible women of means.”
